It has been quite a while since I visited the American Orchid Society's forum -- the interface was just too much of a nuisance to navigate. However, I popped in recently and the forum has vastly improved, in fact it looks like the entire AOS site has had a dramatic makeover. I didn't spend enough time there to decide whether it's an improvement overall, but you might. Check it out.
As far as orchid-related forums are concerned, I primarily concentrate on the Orchid Digest List as it seems to have the most knowledgeable members. There's nothing more irritating to me than Betty Boop Beginner jumping in with cutsey neighbourly bad advice to some poor unsuspecting slob (hmmm, I must be temperamentally suited to the crotchety nature of the OGD list).
